When I first started training for the FFCC in 2004, I was trained by John Creasy, who had competed at Worlds in 2003. He recruited and trained me for the first year in 2004. Clayton County Fire Rescue also provided tremendous support to me from 2004-2006, they not only allowed me to use their course and train with their team members but provided a great deal of motivational support at events and in training.

Here are some Sample workouts that I used for the FFCC: click on the blue links below to see the workouts.

Joe Horton's Recommendations  Joe has competed in the FFCC consistently for over ten years. In my first year of competing in 2004, Joe was instramental in assisting me with workouts and support. We emailed frequently with tips and suggestions about how to get faster and stronger.

Also go to firejock for Juliet's 21 day workout, I used this workout my first year of competing.

The Rock workout This is another good off-season workout provided by Staci Billapando, who has also been a big motivator and support to me. I used this my second year of competing.

I also had a trainer in 2005 called Carlos Jordon, also see Ultimate Bodies  He was my trainer when I won the body building show in 2000 and again the year I won the combat challenge in 2005. Carlos had a way of taking me beyond what I thought I could do myself.

Workouts between Nationals and Worlds Pam Jones provided this workout for me in 2006. Pam and Juliet Draper were an inspiration for my progress in 2006, my PR (personal record) went from 2:14 to 2:06!  I give Pam and Juilet a great deal of credit for my success in 2006. Also see Power workout
